There's so much to do here! Why attend a cluster meeting, there?
Why should you take the time from your busy schedule to attend cluster meetings? I’ve said it before, and I will say it over and over again: “The heart and soul of LSA membership is the understanding that no matter what challenges you face you will be supported by your colleagues.” While webinars, phone conferences, and/or follow-up emails are all valuable supplementary tools, they can never replace the power of face-to-face meetings. As a Linguistics and Communication Disorders degree holder, I know the value of unspoken communication: body language, facial expressions, hand gestures, and posture, for example. I also know that the power of a smile, hug, handshake, and perhaps a shared meal goes a long way in getting people to relax –enabling them to be active members and allowing their voices to be heard. LSA Cluster Members join together to pray, support each other, address ongoing and new issues, solve problems that involve all or some of us, and plan upcoming trainings and events. Along the way we form friendships and strengthen our connections – this is why you should attend cluster meetings!
